I want more of a driver than a race car at this point and I think the extra sound will prove to be irritating over the long haul.(especially to the wife ) (I thought that I was getting a 3 chamber when they put these in, but that is another story ) I have been going back and forth about having them swapped out, because it does sound cool.but I think the biggest thing I want to cut down on is the drone at highway speeds.

The 40 series is a 2 chamber and the 50 is a 3 chamber. As far as volume, it is definitely quieter inside. I have decided to have 50 series Delta Flows put in. These Delta Flow 40's knock out the bassy, low-frequency exhaust tones. he said the 50 won t make much sound at all. When I called one of the local muffler shops he said he has a hard time getting the ford 302s to sound good so he reccommends a 40 series. They do sound real nice, and are not as loud as I thought they would be.but still just a tad more "obnoxious" then I would like. From reading the Flowmaster website I was settled on the 50 series delta flow beacause I do not want really loud interior noise. You can enhance the performance of your Dodge RAM 1500 with the Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow Offset/Offset Oval. I have pipes that go over the axle and turndowns at the edge of the valance. I had Flowmasters installed on my Mav a few weeks ago.
